Loving The DMK Camera

Tim Easterday has again blogged about his work with his DMK 21AF04.AS.

He describes how be recently took 22 AVI files of the Moon. At the time, the Moon was only 3.6 days old and consequently represented an attractive crescent next to Venus. He proceeded to process the AVIs in Registax and saved them as TIFF files. On completion, he opened the singular TIFF files in Photoshop and pasted them together to create the magnificent mosaic image.

One comment in his blog about which we were particularly delighted:

I am pretty happy with the result and I am really loving the DMK camera.
(our emphasis)

Thank’s for the DMK love, Tim :-)

Paul, Here is a message I got yesterday from one of my customers:

-Robert said you had a DMK camera. I have two and they are really nice for lunar work and I use my 21F04.AS as a guide camera as well. If you have any questions about how to use them please don’t hesitate to contact me. They are very popular for lunar/planetary because you can get 60 fps and really fight atmospheric turbulence. The only other option is from another company and is priced closer to $1000!

Almost all these lunar pictures were with a DMK camera:

I think you could sell a few of these because there isn’t currently a source other than DMK and they are geared more for industrial users.
