How Red is Your Mars?

A new user of the DBK 21AU04.AS recently sent me a very interesting note, regarding Mars imaging and how the color can vary from shot to shot. I thought some (or maybe all) readers may want to contemplate the following:

Rus Belikov, writes:

I recently purchased your DBK 21AU04.AS and it’s amazing! The high speed and sensitivity lets me take a huge number of frames quickly and beat the seeing (with registax). I acquired many thousands of frames in just a few minutes and even though the seeing was bad, tons of detail is visible after processing [...] Can’t wait for Saturn to get higher up.

P.S. Unlike the usual Mars shots, I set the color balance to match the color of the Mars image by the Rosetta spacecraft.

Below is the image that he submitted:

Looks good Rus! Send the shots of Jupiter when you are able.

Would appreciate knowing what software and what telescope was used for this shot.
