ASCOM – Driver for Astronomy Cameras with MaxIm DL

German astrophotography amateur Gerrit Viola has developed a driver for The Imaging Source DMK telescope cameras. The aim of this driver is to have DMK astronomy cameras working smoothly with the latest version of MaxIm DL.

Let’s take a look at some screenshots from the User Manual written by Gerrit:

Click on the next button to proceed the installation process. The following view will be given:

Now click on the Install button to proceed the installation. The installation routine comes with a imaging control runtime environment installation. This is needed by the DMKCCD Ascom driver. Please click on the next button to proceed the IC runtime installation.

After clicking on the next button, you can specify a path where to install the driver routine. You can leave the folder textfield unchanged and continue installation with the next button.

After the IC Imaging Control Runtime is installed, the setup routine can be terminated by clicking on the finish button.

The DMKCCD ASCOM driver is now installed.

Technical support for this driver is available at The Imaging Source Forum. You can also download the user manual at the link below:

Many thanks to Gerrit for the great job!
