2009 Jupiter Animation
Considering what a big event the 2009 Jupiter Impact is for the global astronomy community, no wonder we have received many marvelous Jupiter images lately.
French astronomy amateur Didier Favre took a few images of Jupiter and made a stunning animation:

2009 Jupiter Impact Animation
He wrote us in the email (translated from French):
The images were taken on 27 July 2009 with The Imaging Source DMK 31AF03.AS astronomy camera. I also used the telescope 166 Clavius old generation, made in France, and an eyepiece Tele Vue 20mm Plössl to project the image onto the camera’s CCD. Frames of this animation were captured about every 6 minutes within half an hour.
Merci beaucoup Didier! Good job!
