Lunar Mosaic
We received this great lunar picture from W.L.Chin, based in Solar Observatory of University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. By clicking the preview version below, you can open the original image of 2920 x 2292. Chin took this picture with his DMK 41AU02.AS astronomy camera.
Here is what he wrote in the email:
The picture taken at Solar Observatory of University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Time was around 8 – 9pm at night.
The telescope is Takahashi TOA150.
1.6x Takahashi barlow lens added to further enlarge the image.
Image recorded in avi with exposure around 1/320 and gain set to lowest value.
Each avi duration 30s.
Avi processed in Registax 5V.
There got 6 avi processed with each avi has 300 frames stacked.
6 processed image were then loaded in Adobe PhotoShop for mosaic and further enhancement such as curve & unsharp masking.
