Many astrophotographers choose DMK 41AU02.AS astronomy camera to capture the whole disk of the Sun. German amateur astronomer Ingmar Glass is one of them. Ingmar is based in Bavaria, southern Germany. He has been using TIS astronomy cameras for more than two years.
The picture was taken at 17:40:23 local time, 24th of June.

Here is the quote of his email:
since two month I own a DMK 41 USB Version cam and the little Lunt telescope(Lunt LS35). This team is perfect to capture the complete solar disk in halpha. I want to present you the result of todays Sun.
P.S. With this setup the number of Sun observations were risen extremely. After work i can use cloud gaps to capture the sun from my bathroom.
Danke Sehr Ingmar! Gut gemacht!

There are some warm feedbacks after we featured Bernd Eser‘s Sunspot images in the latest Astronomy Camera Newsletter. Besides the comments, an interesting 3D image was made from Eser‘s works. Federico Manzini, the author of the 3D image, told us in the email:
following the beautiful images of Bernd Eser, I treated 2 of these to create a 3D image of the sunspot (and the magnetic filaments around the sunspot) of 23&24 May. The new virtual 3D image shows a great detail, but it is required to use red+cyan or red+ blue glasses to appreciate the up and down surface of the Sun.

Thank you Federico!

Right after I posted his Prominence images last week, we received one more image sequence of Solar Prominence from Jim Ferreira. The pictures vividly depict a magnificent process of a Solar Prominence’s eruption. Jim photographed this on June 19 with his DMK 21AU04.AS camera.

Captured this eruptive prominence throwing off matrial Saturday afternoon, June 19. The sequence of images were shot over an hour and a half period using a DMK21AU04.AS and a Lunt LS50F Hydrogen Alpha filter on a 700mm FL refractor. AVIs were processed in RegiStax5 and image collage assembled in Photo Shop.
Thank you Jim for the good work!

Francisco A. Rodriguez Ramirez is an amateur astronomer based in Spanish Canary Islands, roughly 100km – 250km offshore of Morocco. In this May, Francisco utilized a local facility called Cabreja Mountain Observatory, located in Vega de San Mateo, and captured some close up views of Solar Prominence with his DMK 21AU04.AS camera.

M13 is a globular cluster in the constellation of Hercules. Although it is barely visible with naked eye on an ideally clear night, observers are able to reveal some of its details with outstanding kits.
On the night of 28.05, 2010, David Snay managed to capture a view of M13 with a DMK 41AU02.AS camera and a Stellarvue SV90T Flourite refractor.

Even though I envision this camera for use in planetary work, I targeted M13 last night because I still have my small refractor mounted and knew I wouldn’t acquire much detail on Saturn and the Moon is riding too low for my current setup (high observatory walls for blocking stray light). I ran the data through Registax selecting defaults for everything and generated the attached image.
About half month later he sent us a Saturn picture taken with the same camera, but an 8″ LX90 SCT riding on an Orion Sirius EQ-G mount. Date: 06.15, 2010.

Thank you David Snay! And welcome to the astronomy cameras online community!
